Apple TV + will launch its new sci-fi series “Invasion” on October 22. The show is revealed more with a new trailer. We find in the cast Sam Neill, Golshifteh Farahani, Shiori Kutsuna or Shamier Anderson.
Alien attack in Invasion
Since its launch, Apple TV + continues to offer a variety of programs, ranging from comedy Ted lasso to action drama series See with Jason Momoa through the fantastic with Foundation, the adaptation of Foundation cycle of Isaac Asimov. With Invasion, Apple’s service will offer pure science fiction for a big show. Inside, aliens invade Earth.
Four continents are directly affected via New York City in the United States for America, Manchester in the United Kingdom for Europe, Morocco in Africa and Japan in Asia. Invasion obviously reminds the adaptation of Steven Spielberg War of the Worlds (2005) by its history as well as by its visual, although the series promises to be more grandiose given the use of four continents. At least that’s the feeling we have in front of the new trailer (in an article) just uploaded.
A big program to come
On these new images we discover different characters involved. A soldier, played by Shamier Anderson and in direct contact with a huge creature, a woman working for NASA and played by Shiori Kutsuna, a mother in the guise of Golshifteh Farahani, who tries to protect her children at all costs, or a sheriff played by Sam Neill. A great variety that should allow creators Simon Kinberg and David Weil to treat many topics beyond science fiction. How will these protagonists react? What consequences will this event have on their lives and those close to them? It is obviously on this more dramatic aspect that Invasion will have to hook the spectators over the episodes. It is in any case rather well started for the moment.
Invasion will be broadcast on Apple TV + from October 22. Season 1, which was budgeted for around $ 200 million, will feature ten 60-minute episodes. The first three will be available on October 22.
