In “Devil’s Workshop” we meet the unsuccessful actor Clayton (Timothy Granaderos). After auditioning for a film role as a demonologist, he senses his chance to finally make the big breakthrough with this one. However, he is not sure of the part yet. Because next to him there is also his eternal competitor, the conceited and unfortunately much more talented Donald (Emile Hirsch).
In order to finally be able to outdo Donald, Clayton takes an unusual path: He wants to get even closer to the role and convince the producers with real insider knowledge. So he hires Eliza (Radha Mitchell) – an expert in devil lore – for the upcoming weekend to help him with the preparations.
The visit to Eliza, however, turns out to be a lot hairier than Clayton had imagined. The eccentric woman forces him to face his dark past, perform satanic rituals and even sacrifice a goat. Does she actually want to help Clayton, maybe seduce him sexually or just mentally destroy him?
“Devil’s Workshop” started in North America on September 30, 2022 in selected cinemas and also in streaming. There is currently no information available regarding a release date or the type of publication in Germany.
The screenplay and production of “Devil’s Workshop” come from Chris von Hoffmann, the director of the two FSK-18 shockers “Monster Party” and “Drifter – Live In Fear”.
It stars Timothy Granaderos from the hit Netflix series Dead Girls Don’t Lie. His two co-stars are even better known: Emile Hirsch, the lead in the excellent “Into The Wild”, as well as Radha Mitchell from the video game adaptation “Silent Hill” and the still recommendable survival thriller “The Crazies”.
