It was rumored that season 2 of “Vikings: Valhalla” could even be released this year after the first season was released on Netflix in February 2022. Now that a first trailer for the bloody historical series has appeared, we are certain that this is definitely not the case: Season 2 of “Vikings: Valhalla” will not be released until next year.
The trailer that has now been released makes you want more. It is a scene from the series that shows Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) taking on Olaf Haraldsson’s (Johannes Haukur Johannesson) fighters to save the helpless to protect civilians. So it says: Three against a whole battalion! All hope seems lost when Olaf orders his warriors to kill every single one.
Season 2 of “Vikings: Valhalla is set 100 years after the events of Season 1. This was about the last days of an era that is now known as the Viking Age. Season 2 shows the Vikings’ marriage, but also heralds their downfall. A third season has also been confirmed. As showrunner Jeb Stuart confirmed earlier this year, this will be all about how the Vikings left Scandinavia and about the time William the Conqueror ended the Viking Age.
