Never two without three! Lisa Azuelos and Sophie Marceau are having a third joint adventure with “I Love America“, a romantic comedy set in the United States which arrives on Amazon Prime Video on March 11. Check out the first trailer.
I Love America: Sophie Marceau goes to the USA to find love
13 years ago was released in our theaters LOL (Laughing Out Loud), which has become a generational film for some audiences. This first collaboration between director Lisa Azuelos and actress Sophie Marceau led to a second, with An encounter. The two women do not want to stop in such a good way and have since turned I Love America.
The famous actress, revealed in The party in 1980, here embodies Lisa, a single mother who cannot find the man of her life. To break her series of sentimental failures, she makes a drastic decision: to change the country. She, therefore, left Paris and flew to Los Angeles.
A city that makes you dream and where she hopes to find the one she needs. It is therefore in the United States, where she finds her friend Luka, that she goes on dates, without much success. Little by little, she understands that the problem could come from her and from his relationship with his mother. Before fully concentrating on her sentimental future, Lisa has no choice but to reconnect with the one who gave birth to her.
A story based on the experience of Lisa Azuelos
Lisa Azuelos was inspired by her own experience with her mother to lay this scenario. Once again, the director will draw on her life to fuel her cinematographic work. What emerges is akin to a fairly classic romantic comedy, with good feelings, humor, and a heroine who wants to be endearing. The feature film will be to be discovered next March 11 on the Amazon Prime Video platform.
The service has just unveiled the first trailer for I Love America which largely revolves around Sophie Marceau. These images do not show too much and do not grill the potential gags, with a little postcard side in the use of Los Angeles. Apart from one dated improbable against a backdrop of nudity, the comic potential of the company remains barely perceptible. For the rest, we see a film that is part of our time, with dating applications and everything that makes the search for love complex.
