Guillaume Canet is back on the big screen, as an actor and director in the film “Him”. This prestigious psychological thriller is revealed in a wacky trailer to say the least.

Him : confinement was productive for Guillaume Canet

While everyone waits for the next one to be released Asterix & Obelix directed by Guillaume Canet, the actor and director offers his new film titled Him. The theatrical release is scheduled for October 27. Indeed, Guillaume Canet had to stop the production ofAsterix following the coronavirus pandemic. But the first confinement was beneficial for the actor who took the opportunity to write a brand new screenplay. Written in one go, the film Him was filmed in Brittany for four weeks with a small crew.

The second confinement allowed Guillaume Canet to throw himself body and soul into the editing of this new story full of suspense and absurd moments. Both in front of and behind the camera, he shares the poster with Virginie Efira, Laetitia Casta, Mathieu Kassovitz, Nathalie Baye, Patrick Chesnais and Gilles Cohen. The production of this film is provided by Alain Attal, producer of movies of Canet since many years.

An artist in search of inspiration

Unlike Guillaume Canet, who is teeming with ideas and imagination, his character is confronted with blank page syndrome. The official synopsis of the film Him is: A man, music composer, at the crossroads, doubts and wonders about the meaning of his life. This questioning pushes him to isolate yourself in a house in Brittany, where the important people in his life will parade: his wife, his mistress, his best friend, his parents, his doctor. On the strength of these exchanges, he will have to sort of this pivotal moment to better understand who he is.

This psychological thriller, a bit wacky, will follow this man who settles in an old house on the side of a cliff, on a deserted Breton island. It is in this strange and remote place that he will be confronted with an out of tune piano and rather invasive visitors, determined not to leave him alone. Between eccentric scenes and tense moments, the film is revealed in images in a trailer to discover in an article.

See you on October 27, 2021 to find out in theaters.
