Star of the series since its launch, Clément Rémiens left “Here everything begins” yesterday after a little over a year of adventure. But what we didn’t know was that the actor played a key role in the conception of Maxime’s farewell speech.
All good things come to an end. After more than a year spent in the kitchens of the Auguste Armand Institute, Clément Rémiens said goodbye to Here it all begins last night on TF1 with a final sequence during which Maxime says goodbye to Salomé (Aurélie Pons) before leaving. fly to a new beginning.
It is however the episode broadcast Wednesday on TF1 which will certainly remain in the memory of the fans since it saw the character of Clément Rémiens living his last day at the institute and his last service in the kitchen, before a very beautiful sequence of farewell to her teachers and friends, including Enzo (Azize Diabate), Anaïs (Julie Sassoust), Mehdi (Marvin Pellegrino), and Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka).
“I learned a lot of things here. Thanks to you, my teachers, but also thanks to students who have become friends”explained, not without emotion, Maxime in his farewell speech. “That’s it, I’m leaving the institute. It was an honor to serve Auguste Armand, and I was proud to be part of this promo”.
“I’m not sure one day to rediscover the magic of Auguste Armand. But anyway what matters is not what you do in life, it’s what you do with your life. I think it’s time for me to take flight. We’ve had some good times. I take them with me. I’m going to miss you.”.
Extremely touching, this farewell speech, which includes a nice nod to the very first episode of Here it all begins and to Auguste Armand (Francis Huster), through the sentence “What matters is not what you do in life, it’s what you do with your life”thus allowing Maxime and Clément Rémiens to come full circle and leave in style.

But while one could logically think that the screenwriters were at the origin of this very beautiful “meta” speech, which refers just as much to the departure of Maxime as to that of his interpreter, it is not nothing.
The production of Here it all begins confirmed to us that it was Clément Rémiens himself who wrote these words.
With the writing of this very beautiful speech, in which we hear both Clément and Maxime, the actor thus adds a string to his bow and proves that he knows his character better than anyone. Until the end.
And it is therefore with an additional layer of emotion that fans of the series will now be able to watch this sequence again, which will forever symbolize the end of an important chapter for Here it all begins.
Before finding Clément Rémiens in Tomorrow belongs to us from this evening, the time of a very last intrigue where Maxime will find his family, who is currently going through an ordeal, before joining San Francisco, where his future as a chef awaits him.
