We tell you everything about the feature film “Hello, farewell and us in the middle”, a romance with an attractive concept which is none other than the adaptation of a bestseller. A film to discover on Netflix on July 6.
Hello, goodbye and we in the middle : What is it about ?
The plot ofHello, goodbye and we in the middle revolves around a couple. Clare and Aidan have been together since high school and have made a surprising pact. Indeed, Clare is preparing to join a prestigious establishment nestled on the East Coast. Aidan, for his part, must leave for California. More than 5000 kilometers will separate them. Only, both have planned to end their relationship just before they enter university.

A novel adaptation
If the pitch of the film puts the two protagonists on an equal footing, it is not the same in the work from which the feature film is taken. In the novel, it is Clare who is at the origin of this sad choice. Particularly organized – and probably a little too much – distance is not an option for her. Thus, the young woman decides to break up the day before her departure. On their last night together, lovers will reminisce about all their shared memories. But then, what will happen to their story at the first light of dawn?
It is the American Jennifer E. Smith who signs the book. The novelist is not at her first attempt: her writings, mostly intended for young adults, often prance at the top of sales ! His literary work is of interest to many production houses. For example, a feature film taken from The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight was filming last year. The film offers an interesting bias, since the custom is usually to think that his first love will be that of his life. Unfortunately, in reality, this does not happen that frequently.
Hello, goodbye and we in the middle : with whom ?
Hello, Farewell and Us in the Middle is directed by Michael Lewen. The screenplay is written by Ben York Jones (Everything sucks!) and Amy Reed. On the casting side, in the role of Clare, we find the young and talented Talia Ryder. It’s thanks to the music Matildapresented on Broadway and adapted from the work of Roald Dahl, which the actress has acquired a certain notoriety. Since then, we have been able to see it in particular in West Side Story and Never Rarely Sometimes Always. Facing the actress, Jordan Fisher (To all the boys: PS I still love you) lends his features to Aidan. Jack-of-all-trades, he is actor, singer and dancer !
Emily Hate (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nico Hiraga (North Hollywood), Djoliet Amara (Tales from the Hood 3), Sarah Gray (The Secret Lives of College Freshmen), Jennifer Robertson (What blows the romance) or Julia Benson (Aurora Teagarden: Murder by the Lake) are also present in the feature film.
