When the first episode of “Rings of Power”, which has the title of being the highest budget series ever, was added to the Prime Video library after a long wait, the viewers were divided into two. The series, which became the center of various criticisms especially by fans of Tolkien and Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, was mostly criticized for its aspects that did not fit Tolkien’s narratives. Viewers who like the series argue that this is a new narrative and deserves a chance.
Regardless of Musk’s views, “Rings of Power” became a hit for Prime Video. Data released earlier this week revealed that the show, co-created by JD Payne and Patrick McKay, received more than 25 million viewers on its first day. The eight-episode first season of “Rings of Power” will run until October 14. Work for the second season has already begun.
