It is claimed that the digital platform HBO Max, which is eagerly awaited to enter the Turkish market, has stopped its operations in Turkey.

It is claimed that HBO Max, another digital platform that is eagerly awaited to enter the Turkish market after Disney Plus, has suspended its plans to open in Turkey for now.
HBO Max, the digital platform of WarnerMedia, started broadcasting in Northern European countries and Spain last October after the USA. HBO Max was expected to start broadcasting in Turkey this year, but according to the news of TV100’s Birsen Altuntaş, Turkey’s Content Executive Director is Mia Edde and Nermin Eroğlu is the executive producer for the HBO Max platform. Activities planned to be carried out in the country were stopped.
In the past months, it was announced that Barış Zavaroğlu, who served as the General Manager of Turkcell TV Plus and FOX Turkey Marketing Assistant General Manager, was appointed as the Turkey General Manager of the platform. An official statement has not yet been made regarding the decision to suspend Turkey’s activities, which is currently on the agenda.
As the first domestic content to be broadcast on the platform, HBO Max purchased the series “Blind Spot”, starring Nejat İşler and Aslıhan Gürbüz, from OJO Pictures, but later decided to postpone it for this series. It is estimated that HBO, which has invested in many domestic content, is planning to shrink or pause due to the negative outlook in global economic indicators.
