First of the workshop at Maison Dior, Esther (Nathalie Baye) participates in her last Haute Couture collection before retiring. One day, she has her bag stolen in the metro by 20-year-old Jade (Lyna Khoudri). But the latter, seized with remorse, decides to give him back his property.
Seduced in spite of herself by the young girl’s daring and convinced that she has a gift, Esther offers her the chance to join the Maison Dior workshops as an apprentice. The opportunity to pass on to Jade a profession that has always been practiced for the beauty of the gesture …

Haute Couture is Sylvie Ohayon’s second achievement, 7 years after Papa Was Not A Rolling Stone. Sylvie Ohayon is also the author of six novels, the latest of which is Micheline, published by Robert Laffont in 2017.
The Haute Couture cast reunites for the first time Nathalie Baye and Lyna Khoudri, revelation of Papicha, who has since been seen in Hors Normes and Gagarin. She is expected in the new film by Wes Anderson, The French Dispatch, and later in Novembre (new film by Cédric Jimenez, director of Bac Nord) or the diptych Les Trois Mousquetaires by Martin Bourboulon.
Nathalie Baye will soon be showing in Lui, a new film by Guillaume Canet.
Haute Couture is expected in theaters on November 10.
