ON THE ROUTE DES HATERS
After Connected, also available on Prime Video, Romuald Boulanger continues its momentum with a new 2.0 and very meta comedy called Haters and uploaded today on the same platform. From the first seconds, self-mockery is at the rendezvous with anticipated and realistic comments from “haters”.
Kev Adams plays here a YouTuber, called Tom the Llama, who wants to celebrate his million subscribers with a prank but the hidden camera that traps his girlfriend goes wrong and it’s the bad buzz for the Internet star. With his buddy and cameraman KUA (Esteban), he goes all over France to meet his biggest haters, who have left him the worst comments on his channel, hoping to confront them with their contradictions.
In this Stations of the Cross to find fame, public favor and the heart of his girlfriend, Tom the lama will meet a gallery of barge and quirky characters, embodied by an explosive cast, between Franck Dubosc, Audrey Fleurot, Olivier Giroud , Jean-Claude Van Damme, Elie Semoun, Sara Forestier and William Baldwin (!), To name a few.
It is this improbable cast of guests that attracts curiosity and surprise to see these famous faces and their own humor come together with rhythm and astonishment. For the rest, the film directed by Stéphane Marelli should appeal to fans of the main actor and to those who could have seen Connected during confinement.
