Ron, a kleptomaniac? British actor Rupert Grint has stolen or attempted to steal several props on the set of the Harry Potter films.

After the filming of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Rupert Grint kept an accessory from one of the highlights of the feature film. One in which his character Ron Weasley is particularly illustrated: the chess scene.
You must remember this sequence, which sees Ron playing chess on a giant chessboard, sitting on a knight, verbally dictating to the pawns where they should go. The chessboard was actually built for the needs of the shoot.
When they clash, the pieces come alive and shatter into a thousand pieces, and it is one of those pieces that the young Rupert Grint (12 years old at the time) stole as a souvenir.

Finally, on the set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he did it again, confessing to the BBC microphone:
“I stole the golden egg from the fourth movie – a dragon egg. Apparently it was worth several thousand dollars. I had put it in a pillowcase, and I was helped by my accomplices James and Oliver [Phelps, interprètes des jumeaux Weasley, NdlR]. Except they followed our trail and found us. “
To watch like Butterbeer on the fire, this Rupert Grint!
