Two decades after the launch of the lucrative “Harry Potter” saga, fans are invited to dive back into the magical universe with “Return to Hogwarts”, an event program broadcast on TF1. As surprising as it may seem, one of the stars of the main trio did not participate in the filming!
Harry Potter: a return to Hogwarts for the fans
After some time Friends: Homecoming which delighted an entire army of fans, it’s another cult universe that plays the reunion card. Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts allows us to dive back into the magical universe created by JK Rowling, to celebrate it, comment on it and reveal it behind the scenes. 20 years after the release of the first opus in theaters, Warner is trying to appease us with a major event. For the occasion, the great means came out: the presence of the main cast, passage on certain mythical places of the universe, or anecdotes. After a release on HBO Max in the United States, it is on TF1 that the program arrives in France.
For about 1h30, it is about the impact of the universe Harry Potter on the team but also on the fans. Even if we appreciate the presence of all the actors who join the party, we are particularly happy to find Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. They’ve all taken different paths in their careers, which adds a certain flavor to the streaks they share.
Rupert Grint absent from filming
Despite what you might think, the trio did not film the show together! Turns out Rupert Grint couldn’t make it to the set. The latter was on the Canadian side for the needs of another production. So, failing to wait until he can find the time to go to Great Britain, a solution has been found. The actor was filmed alone in his corner and then added to the montage so that the illusion is complete.
The pirouette works even if we sometimes realize that he is not totally in tune with his comrades. It’s fun to watch the show knowing this fact, which gives another dimension to his appearances. Nevertheless, he was able to spend some time with Emma Watson! The actress traveled to Canada to record a passage from Back to Hogwarts with him.
