On the Back to Hogwarts special, Emma Watson (Hermione) reconsidered her crush on Tom Felton (Draco) and one of the reasons she fell in love with him.
The Return to Hogwarts special, bringing together some of the cast of the Harry Potter films to celebrate the 20 years of the film franchise, has been the scene of some revelations. While Daniel Radcliffe has admitted to having a crush on Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has reconsidered her weakness for Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy).
Sworn enemies in the saga but very good friends in the real one, Emma Watson and Tom Felton were very close and were delighted to meet for the Harry Potter special. The young woman had even fallen in love with him but the feelings of the young man were not reciprocal since he considered her more like a little sister.
The crush drawing
The actress explained on the show why she fell in love with him, and the reason is quite astonishing but very cute:
“One day in class we were asked to draw our idea of God. Tom had drawn a girl with a cap on a skateboard. I don’t know how to explain it, I fell in love. I was always looking for his number on the duty sheet, 7. If his number was on the sheet, the day was going to be great. He was three years older. So to him, I was like a little sister. “
For his part, Tom Felton was aware of Emma Watson’s crush and did everything to protect her and make her feel good: “I was in makeup and someone told me they liked me. I was very protective of her. I have a special affection for her, even today.”
Emma Watson and Tom Felton were therefore not among the couples who were formed on the set of the Harry Potter films. The actor met his former partner Jade Olivia Gordon, an assistant stunt coordinator, with whom he stayed from 2008 to 2016.
