At the premiere of the movie “Halloween Kills” in the United States (due October 20 in France), Jamie Lee Curtis paid an absolutely brilliant tribute to his mother Janet Leigh, star of “Psychosis” by Alfred Hitchcock.
Halloween Kills: Michael Myers returns
His end, however, seemed near the end ofHalloween released in 2018. Michael Myers, trapped by Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in the basement of his house was caught in flames. But it was bad to know the boogeyman, which seems immortal. Indeed, shortly after the flight of Laurie accompanied by her daughter and her granddaughter, dozens of firefighters arrived on site to extinguish the fire. You guessed it: Michael is still alive. And the firefighters … not for much longer. Then begins a real bloodbath for the aptly named Halloween kills.
We had the chance to discover Halloween kills during its presentation at the Venice Film Festival. If he has the faults of his position as the second part in a trilogy, he does not disappoint hemoglobin level. Without context, the most brutal of the saga (see our review).
Jamie Lee Curtis pays tribute to his mother
At the film’s US premiere, the entire film crew were disguised for the occasion. Jason Blum, the producer of the saga, had chosen to disguise himself as … Laurie Strode.
But it was Jamie Lee Curtis who caught all eyes at the party. Indeed, the 62-year-old actress arrived disguised as Marion Crane, the heroine of Psychosis, played by her own mother, Janet Leigh in 1960. She arrived with a blonde wig, the blue dress, and especially the bloodied shower curtain, from THE cult scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s film.
The two actresses had also shared the poster in 1998 in the film Halloween: 20 years later. Janet Leigh died in 2004.
