With “Halloween” in 2018, David Gordon Green has succeeded in creating a real box office hit. With a budget of just 10 million US dollars, the belated sequel to John Carpenter’s horror milestone “Halloween – The Night of Horrors” was able to gross 255 (!) million US dollars worldwide. A real hit, compared to which the sequel “Halloween Kills” clearly lost out with a double budget at 131 US dollars.
And even if “Halloween Kills” was also received fairly averagely by fans and critics, it will be interesting to see what Blumhouse and David Gordon Green have to say about “Halloween Ends“ will deliver. John Carpenter, whoHalloween Ends’ who is once again responsible for the musical accompaniment together with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, spoke to SYFYWire now said the following about the upcoming “Halloween” horror: “You’ll see that it’s a departure from the other films. It’s interesting. Dave (David Gordon Green) is a really good director. I love working with him.”
What exactly Carpenter means with this statement is still completely unclear at this point. So far, neither details about the content nor moving image material have been published. Nick Castlethe original Michael Myers actor, captions the ending “Halloween Ends“ also as “surprised“while make-up effects artist Chris Nelson uses words like “weird” and “different” to describe the film.
At the heart of “Halloween Ends’, which David Gordon Green says jumps four years in time, will likely mark the final confrontation between Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers. “Halloween Kills” ended with Michael (apparently) killing Karen Strode (Judy Greer), Laurie’s daughter.
