The long-awaited final face-off between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode will finally take place in “Halloween Ends,” set several years after the events of “Halloween Kills.” Filming has just started and Jamie Lee Curtis is back in the skin of Laurie on the first images. The film is expected in theaters on October 19, 2022.
Halloween Ends: sequel and end
With his Halloween released in 2018, David Gordon Green bet to bring back to the fore the Michael Myers of The Night of the Masks by John Carpenter. Indeed, the film was a direct sequel to Carpenter’s, and therefore took place 40 years after the events of Haddonfield. The masked killer had been arrested after his murders and incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital.
For her part, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) was still traumatized, and had built a veritable arsenal of war in fear that Michael will find her. A fear that had finally proven to be justified since the latter escaped from the hospital, and found her where it all had begun.
At the end of the film, Laurie managed to trap Michael, and thought she was done. But it was without counting on almost immortal nature of the last. Thus, in Halloween Kills, he managed to get out of the house in flames, and resumed with even more brutality, his disastrous course. But the long-awaited face-to-face between Michael and Laurie did not take place, the latter being in the hospital.
This face-to-face will take place in Halloween Endsexpected October 19, 2022.
Laurie Strode is back at Haddonfield
Unlike the first two films, the third will not take place on the same Halloween night. Indeed, there will be a four-year leap forward, and it will take place in 2022. If we do not yet know the details concerning the scenario, it will be the last face-to-face between Laurie and Michael. We can therefore assume that one of the two, or even both, will not survive the end of this final episode.
The filming ofHalloween Ends has just debuted across the Atlantic, and Laurie Strode is back in Haddonfield in the first images:
