Whether you like Rockstar’s flagship series or not, it was hard to escape the launch of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy, which compiles all the episodes released on PS2. Unfortunately for some, technical progress has not solved all the problems of the 2000s.
Three Grand Theft Auto episodes available all at once, and a holiday on top of that? This could have delighted many more or less nostalgic players, but it was still necessary to choose the “right” medium to take advantage of it. Indeed, the PC version of GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition was the victim of “technical problems”, while the Rockstar launcher was late for the appointment.

Players eager to find the asphalt of the streets of Vice City or San Andreas have indeed encountered a relentless error message, a threat even more terrible than a five-star search counter:
In view of the wait that accompanied this launch, it is an understatement to say that the players have largely expressed their dissatisfaction, especially when we remember the trickery of Rockstar, who had previously taken the care to remove GTA III , GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas on Steam, a few days before the release of this compilation.

Faced with this chaotic launch, to say the least, the publisher finally reacted, announcing last night that his teams were working to resolve the problem. This morning, GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition was no longer available than the fifth episode or Red Dead Redemption 2 (random eh):

In order to limit the number of apprentice brigands anxious to share their rage on so-called social networks, Rockstar Games has simply decided to remove the PC version from its online store., to now only display PS4, PS5, Switch and other Xbox models. Suffice to say that the pressure remains maximum on the technical teams of the publisher, who should have welcomed this long-awaited launch. Those who have had the bad luck to buy their game on PC will therefore have to wait patiently until the problem is repaired. Decidedly, holidays are more what it used to be …
