‘Grace and Frankie’ Final Episodes Premiere Date Announced – News

Netflix announced on Tuesday that the final episodes of “Grace and Frankie” will premiere on April 29. Created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, “Grace and Frankie” stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as two very different women who have not liked each other for years despite the joint work of their husbands Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston). taking.

When their husbands announce they’re in love and plan to get divorced to be together, Grace and Frankie find roommates and become best friends, overcoming their mutual animosity and grappling with romances, business ventures, and family dramas. Currently the longest-running series on Netflix, “Grace and Frankie” first started in 2015 and has run for seven seasons since then.

The series was originally renewed for a seventh and final season of 16 episodes in 2019. Last August, Netflix released the first four episodes of the surprise final season and announced that the remaining episodes will begin in 2022. In addition to Fonda, Tomlin, Sheen, and Waterston, “Grace and Frankie” stars Brooklyn Decker and June Diane Raphael as Grace and Robert’s daughters, Ethan Embry and Baron Vaughn as Frankie and Sol’s sons.

Last year, Netflix announced that Dolly Parton would be a guest star in the final episodes of the series. Kauffman, Morris, Fonda, and Tomlin are executive producers on the series, along with Robbie Tollin, Hannah KS Canter, Marcy Ross, Paula Weinstein, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost. Skydance Television is producing the series.
