Ray Liotta dies at 67



Actor Ray Liotta, who debuted in Martin Scorsese’s crime classic Goodfellas, had many successful performances and is currently busy with several projects, passed away. Liotta died in her sleep in the Dominican Republic, where she filmed Dangerous Waters. Liotta was 67 years old and left behind her daughter Karsen and was engaged to be married to Jacy Nittolo.
Liotta has been experiencing a major resurgence in recent years. She has recently appeared on The Many Saints of Newark, Marriage Story, and No Sudden Move. She finished Elizabeth Banks’ Cocaine Bear and was set to star in the Working Title movie The Substance, opposite Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley. He also co-starred with Taron Egerton in the Apple TV+ series Black Bird.
Liotta was nominated for a Golden Globe for Something Wild, directed by Jonathan Demme, and subsequently played the banned Chicago superstar Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams. He then played the defining role of his career, the mobster Henry Hill, opposite Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in Scorsese’s mob epic Goodfellas.
Goodfellas, adapted from Nicholas Pileggi’s book with Scorsese, was nominated for six Oscars, with Pesci the only winner. The movie frequently tops lists of the greatest movies of all time. Other memorable roles of the actor include Hannibal, Narc, Blow, Copland, Killing Them Softly and Revolver.
