God of War Ragnarok is out and its collectors too. But now, some buyers were quickly disillusioned when unpacking their precious editions.
The launch of God of War Ragnarok does not go as planned for collectors who face a serious problem.
The collectors of God of War Ragnarok disappoint
For the release of God of War Ragnarok, Sony and Santa Monica Studio have prepared two collectors’ items that are roughly the same. But obviously the more expensive one has even more physical goodies. Both quickly found themselves out of stock, in particular because of unscrupulous scalpers who sold these editions at totally crazy prices. Between 550 and 1,009 euros for a product sold at the base €269.99.
But today, it will turn against them. Indeed, players have started to receive their collectors from God of War Ragnarok, including average non-profit buyers, and there is a serious problem. These are incomplete.
Normally, the Collector’s Edition and the Jotnar Edition both contain a steelbook with a code to download the game in dematerialized form. The user who created a dedicated Twitter account to challenge PlayStation does have his metal box, but it contains two codes to obtain digital bonuses and not God of War Ragnarok.
Another doesn’t even have a steelbook and therefore no code to redeem his game via the PS Store. Buyers’ collectors come from different brands, Target and GameStop.
