A few scares blasted the audition of Lea Michele, future star of the television series Glee. To get the lead role, the actress and singer bent over backward.
No time to fix his car
Before offering his finest lyrical flights on covers of Don’t Stop Believin’ Where Total Eclipse Of The Heart in Glee, Lea Michele had to face many obstacles. To get the main role of Rachel Berry, star (or almost) of Glee Club, she goes through the casting box. Unknown to the public, but on the rise on Broadway, the American actress faces a jury that will decide her future on television. A decisive day for her, which does not go as planned.
In the bonus DVDs of Gleeor in his book, Brunette AmbitionLea Michele returns several times to the more than stressful day of her casting for the series. A few minutes before her audition, she has a car accident. Outside the Fox studio, she leaves her wrecked car in the middle of the street.
I had a huge car accident outside Fox’s backlot which completely destroyed my car. When I walked into the room for my audition, I was literally pulling pieces of glass out of my hair.
Wanting absolutely to audition, Lea Michele quickly forgets this incident. But a new event disrupts his performance.

The Show Must Go On
During her visit, she performs the piece On My Own. A familiar song, since she began her career at the age of 8 in the role of Cosette in Wretched; title from this musical played at the theater. She will also sing On My Own during the first season of Glee. But in front of the jury, she resumes herself twice to finish the piece. The reason? The pianist does not play the entire song and loses Lea Michele along the way.
I started singing my first song, and the pianist skipped the second verse. So in the middle of my song, I said, “Excuse me, I need to sing the whole song”.
Acting like the real Rachel Berry, she finally passed her audition. Thus, she ranks alongside the other members of the Glee Club: Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, or even Naya Rivera. Star of the American show, she shot more than 100 episodes.
