On the official site the anime adaptation of »Girlfriend, Girlfriend« (Jap.: »Kanojo mo Kanojo«) was released today announcedthat the romance comedy series will get a second season.

The twelve-part first season of »Girlfriend, Girlfriend« was directed by director Satoshi Kuwabara (»Adachi and Shimamura«) at Studio Tezuka Productions. Keiichiro Ochi (»The Demon Girl Next Door«) wrote the screenplay, while Akiko Toyoda was involved as a character designer. The title ran in the 2021 summer season in Japan and was simulcast on Crunchyroll.
The anime is based on HIROYUKI’s manga of the same name, which has been published in Weekly Shounen Magazine since March 2020. In Germany, the work has been published by Manga Cult with a German translation since October 2021 under the title »Kanojo mo Kanojo – Opportunity Makes Love«.
