In the press conference given on the occasion of the launch of his event documentary series, Peter Jackson revealed that the Disney + platform tried to censor the swear words of “The Beatles: Get Back”.

We don’t censor the Beatles! The Disney Plus platform unveiled last week its event documentary series The Beatles: Get Back, directed by Peter Jackson from 150 hours of footage of the four trendy boys that remained unseen for more than fifty years, filmed on the occasion. of rehearsals in 1969.
Thus, the series portrays the four Beatles a few months before their final separation and their final concert on the roof of their Apple Corp company in London. These raw images also make it possible to see the quartet as we had never seen it before, an authenticity which is expressed in particular by the use of a familiar and sometimes even coarse language.
In his press conference, Peter Jackson indeed confided that the platform tried to censor the curses uttered by the Beatles during this documentary of three episodes. To no avail, since Ringo Starr and Olivia Harrison (George Harrison’s widow) refused to have the profanity removed from the program, so that the portrait of the British quartet remains authentic.
It is therefore in an uncensored version that the formidable documentary series is presented to us The Beatles: Get Back, to discover now on Disney +!
