One of the most popular TikTok trends of recent times is when dozens of young people get together and go to watch “Minions 2: The Rise of Gru” in their suits…

One of the trendiest TikTok trends in recent days has filled movie theaters in America with extremely stylish young men flocking to watch the movie “Minions 2: The Rise of Gru.” The trend has grown as young people who call themselves “GentleMinions” go to movie theaters in large groups, meet, wait in ticket queues and post their reactions on TikTok while watching the movie in the hall. But movie theater owners are not happy with this situation.
The movie theater operators and the audience, who were disturbed by GentleMinions, came face to face when the young people began to disturb the other audience due to the noises, applause and cheers they made during the movie. Speaking to The Independent, a theater operator explained that he had to refund $1300 worth of tickets in a single day due to the “crazy” experienced during the screening.
It was also recorded that there were events such as young people throwing bananas at the screen and walking around the hall during the movie screenings. While some hall owners were content to warn that they would be kicked out of the hall if there was a single complaint against them when they saw the young people in suits due to the inconvenience, some halls announced that the audience in formal clothes would not be filmed.

Due to disturbances from the recent #GentleMinions trend, any formal guest group will not be allowed to enter the “Minions 2: The Rise of Gru” screenings.
Ever since they entered our lives with the movie “Despicable Me” in 2010, minions have become an indispensable element of popular culture. The concept of “GentleMinion” was coined by the official TikTok account of the movie Minions, but the origin of the trend is unknown. The humor, based on the absurdity of attending a children’s movie in formal wear, is also used as a reference to Gru’s black suit.
