“Survive” revolves around Jane (Sophie Turner) who, after severe personal tragedy, has attempted suicide. Her therapy stay is now over and she is said to be cured of her depression. However, the reality is that Jane still has plans to kill herself and plans to carry out her plan on the flight home.
But before she can swallow the deadly overdose of pills, the plane she’s in encounters violent turbulence and crashes. Only Jane and her neighbor Paul (Corey Hawkins) survive the accident. But the plane crashed in the middle of the deserted wilderness of high mountains, which harbored a great deal of danger. The two were just strangers, now their fate depends on whether they can rely on each other 100 percent…

Does the story of “Survive” sound familiar to you? Then you probably read our news report on the streaming series of the same name, which was then launched in the USA, more than two and a half years ago. It’s actually the same stuff. “Survive” started in spring 2020 on the American streaming service Quibi, which was discontinued in December 2020 due to insufficient subscriber numbers.
Now the segments assembled into a feature film still find their way to us. The staging comes from “Arlington Road” director Mark Pellington; Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins took on the lead roles.
Turner rose to fame as Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones and as Jean Gray aka Phoenix in the blockbuster X-Men, while Hawkins starred as Heath in seasons 6 and 7 of the serial phenomenonThe Walking Dead” knows. He also starred in 24: Legacy. The mime celebrated his biggest screen success to date as rap superstar Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton.
Supporting roles as the parents of Sophie Turner’s character include Caroline Goodall from Schindler’s List and Cliffhanger and Jo Stone-Fewings from The Crown.
