Become in recent years a star of the small as the big screen, Tom Hardy connects the roles more surprising than the others. On Prime Video, (re) discover three films with the British actor that will delight fans!

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

This is one of the roles that marked his film career: in 2015, Tom Hardy took over from Mel Gibson in the fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise, still signed by George Miller. In the guise of Max Rockatansky, he is embarked on a supercharged chase through the desert, with the formidable warlord Immortan Joe at his heels!

Success is immediately there for this new daring and unleashed opus, which also brings together Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, but also and above all a Charlize Theron at the top of her art in the role of Furiosa .

Mad Max: Fury Road wins six statuettes at the 2016 Oscars, including Best Editing, Best Sets and Best Makeup and Hairstyles. The brilliant action flick is available on Prime Video.

LAWLESS MEN

Before joining the cast of the hit series Peaky Blinders, Tom Hardy slipped into the shoes of an outlaw in 2012 in The Lawless Men, a gangster film by John Hillcoat (The Proposition).

Surrounded by Shia LaBoeuf and Jason Clarke, the British actor plays one of the three Bondurant brothers, who specialized in smuggling alcohol into 1930s America during Prohibition. Plagued by corrupt police and ruthless rivals, the siblings struggle to keep their businesses alive.

Presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, the film also benefits from the impressive interpretations of Jessica Chastain, Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce. Find Tom Hardy as the massive Forrest Bondurant now on Prime Video.

LOCKE

In 2014, Tom Hardy reunites with Steven Knight, the dad of the Peaky Blinders with whom he will also collaborate later on the Taboo series, for a breathless camera: Locke. The only actor on the screen, we find him driving a car while a phone call turns his character’s entire life upside down …

Throughout the journey, Ivan Locke makes a series of calls to manage his personal and professional problems. The opportunity for spectators to recognize in the original version the voices of Ruth Wilson, Olivia Colman, Andrew Scott and Tom Holland on the other end of the line.

Far from the physical roles that are often attributed to him, Tom Hardy impresses in this thriller written and directed by Steven Knight, to see or re-watch on the Prime Video platform.
