In 2006, Gerard Lanvin and Frank Dubosc were nicely associated in Camping, popular comedy which revealed the latter to the cinema. 9 years later, the two stars find themselves in front of the camera of Florent-Emilio Siri (Wasp’s Nest, The Intimate Enemy, Cloclo…). Commissioned film for the director, it was however an opportunity for the director to diversify and explore the terrain of comedy.
Full board follows François and Charlotte, a couple who together run a renowned hotel and restaurant by the sea. However, their marital relationship seems to have stalled: indeed, François is so obsessed with the dream of obtaining a star in the he leaves his wife. It was during this period that Alex, Charlotte’s ex-husband reappears when he was supposed to be dead after being hit by a tsunami in Thailand. However, Alex is mythomaniac and manipulative. Above all, he is determined to win Charlotte back, much to François’ chagrin. The two men will therefore engage in a fierce rivalry.

Films taking place in the gastronomic universe are numerous in France. Among them are some films such as The wing or the thigh, American cuisine, The flavors of the palate or even As a leader. Full board therefore part of it. However, the feature film is taken from another film also taking place in the culinary world: Butter cooking.
Released in 1963 and directed by Gilles Grangier, the film is marked by the duo of two French stars of the time: Fernandel and Bourvil. The feature film was an honest success in theaters, with over 6 million entries. Nevertheless, behind the scenes, relations between Fernandel and Bourvil were far from being good.
Indeed, the actor seen in The big mop was a real fan of the one who was starified through the series of Don Camille. Unfortunately, on the set, the two men do not get along, as related Entertainment TV. Bourvil notably reproached Fernandel for his arrogance and the fact that he wanted at all costs to pull the cover for him. The two famous actors no longer toured together.
