On Thursday, June 24, TF1 broadcasts in prime time the special program dedicated to the 25 years of the cult series. But how did the adventures of Rachel, Joey, Monica, Ross, Phoebe and Chandler end after the 10 seasons of “Friends”?
If saying goodbye to characters that we have always had the impression of knowing is almost superhuman, saying goodbye to an era, the era of Friends, we let you imagine! It is therefore after 10 years of living together that the Friends have decided to follow separate paths and now live their adult lives, after ten seasons of emotional roller coasters and adventures of all kinds in the Big Apple.
Season 10, episodes 17/18: “Those who were leaving” (“The last one”)
Let’s start with THE couple who went through a good number of breakups and reconciliations in the series, I named Rachel Green (Jennifer aniston) and Ross Geller (David Schwimmer). Rachel decided to go to Paris despite Ross’s statement to her shortly before. But the love that binds them is stronger, she ends up getting off the plane. The parents of little Emma are therefore reunited again, and this time for good.
The other member of the Geller family, Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) have the perfect love with Chandler Bing (Matthew perry), the big joker of the six. After learning that they will not be able to have children, the couple chose to resort to adoption.
They buy a house in Westchester, in the New York suburbs and impatiently await the arrival of their child to finally found the family of their dreams. But surprise, it is not a child, but two, who will enter the life of Monica and Chandler, because they are now the happy parents of twins, Erica and Jack!
Regarding Phoebe Buffay (Lisa kudrow), his character has already had its happy ending with his marriage earlier in the season to Mike (Paul Rudd).
For his part, Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) is preparing to move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. His long-awaited ‘Big Break’ has finally arrived and here he is, without his five friends, in the spin-off Joey. It’s hard to have to leave without your best friends, your lifelong accomplices to follow your own path across the United States, evidenced by the farewell scene between Joey and Chandler.
It is then the opportunity to remember all the good times spent between the two characters, the games invented by one or the other, the episodes ofBaywatch watched in their respective armchairs, the foosball games …
In the last scene of the episode, the six friends hand over the keys to Monica and Chandler’s apartment. Then, all together, go to their favorite cafe, the Central Perk, where, 10 years earlier, this adventure had started.
