Despite its postponement, Forspoken does not hesitate to give regular updates. This time the action-RPG from Square Enix tells us more about its super fast loading times.
Initially scheduled for May 24, Forspoken was finally pushed back to October 11 to ensure its quality upon release. Since then, the game from Luminous Productions has been constantly talked about, whether with trailers or new details. And the title published by Square Enix comes back again today with interesting information.
Ultra-fast loading times for Forspoken
It’s official, Forspoken will load faster on PS5 than on PC. During Teppei Ono, the technical director of the game announced that the loading times of Forspoken would last less than a second on PS5 and PCs with an M.2 SSD. A small feat for an open world game made possible thanks to the technologies used by the action-RPG. Forspoken will be based on FSR 2.0, a new technology designed to reduce the loading time of high-resolution rendering, while making the gaming experience smoother.
The employee also specifies that the game will load faster on PS5 than on PC, knowing that the delay can vary from 2 to 20 seconds on computer depending on the hardware used. And like almost all games of this generation, Forspoken will offer two display modes, one focused on visual quality and the other on pure performance.
