“Flash” returns for a season 8 starting November 16. From the start, the DC series will be entitled to the crossover “Armageddon” with many superheroes that are revealed in a trailer.
The end of the world is approaching in Flash
In 2012 the CW launched Arrow. Following the success of the superheroic series, the American channel has developed many spin-offs. But in early 2020, the Green Arrow was saying goodbye and leaving its team members without their leader. Who of Flash, Supergirl or even Batwoman was going to take over? Obviously, the fastest superhero in the DC Universe was best placed for this task. Especially since Supergirl must also stop at the end of its season 6.
For Flash, the adventure continues with a season 8 which will regain its footing. Planned from November 16 in the United States, the series will begin with a crossover that promises to be exceptional.
Appointed Armageddon, this event will bring together many superheroes to help Barry Allen for five consecutive episodes. As can be seen in the trailer (in an article) put online by the CW, Flash will have seven days to prevent Despero to destroy the world. The team will therefore be able to meet! We thus find Mia smoak (who takes over from his father Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow), Batwoman, The Atom (back after leaving Legends of Tomorrow), Black Lightning or Ryan Choi (introduced in Crisis on infinite Earth). Beautiful people to face a new formidable enemy.
Who is Despero?
Despero will therefore be the big bad of this beginning of season 8 of Flash. In the DC comics, the character is a tyrant with psychic powers. He mainly wishes to destroy the Justice League. Physically, he is particularly imposing, a sort of big red bully. However he had several representations over the comics. And in Flash, he appears in a very different way, like a “simple human”. His power should therefore come above all from his psychic powers. To interpret it the production of the series has engaged Tony curran. The British actor has been seen notably in Underworld 2 by playing the antagonist Marcus. It promises for Flash and his team!
