


Some time ago we were able to inform you that the manga »Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari« will be adapted as an anime. On the official site the adaptation became a first trailer today releasedwhich you can find further down in this article.

Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari is being produced at BN Pictures, directed by Ryuichi Kimura (Aikatsu!). Keiichirou Oochi (»The Quintessential Quintuplets«) takes on the series composition, while Shiori Fujisawa contributes to the character design.
It stars Takeo Ootsuka (Kakeru Kurahara in Run with the Wind) as Hyouma Kunato and Yuuki Takada (Aoba Suzukaze in New Game!) as Botan Nagatsuki. The music is by John Kanda (»The Vampire Dies in No Time«-Opening) and XELIK composes.
The fantasy manga »Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari« by Onigunsou was published in Miracle Jump magazine in April 2014 and has been published in Ultra Jump magazine since January 2016. The publishing house Shueisha has published 14 volumes of the series in the Japanese trade so far.

Plot:
Tsukumogami: Spirits that possess ancient objects and take physical form. Despite being part of the Saenome clan tasked with returning the Tsukumogami peacefully to their own world, Kunato Hyouma hates them deeply because one of them stole something of great value from him.
To cure him of this disgust, Hyouma’s grandfather sends him to Nagatsuki Botan, a girl who is the master of six “friendly” tsukumogami and lives with them as a family.
