Years after “Finding Nemo”, the creators of Pixar studios offered their fans “Finding Dory”, a totally unexpected sequel. Like all Pixar films, “Dory” is full of easter eggs. Here are eight can’t-miss snaps from this stunning Pixar production.
Finding Dory : unprecedented success at the box office
In 2003, Andrew Stanton staged The world of Nemo. At the time, the film is a huge success. Both critics and spectators are at the rendezvous. The film is named at 4 times at the Oscars and won the statuette of Best Animated Film. Side box office, the feature film is a total triumph. For a budget of 94 million dollars, Nemo yields more than 871.



However, it is necessary wait until 2016 to see a sequel of Andrew Stanton’s classic to be born on our screens. Always staged by the latter, Finding Dory takes place after the events of the first film, but focuses on the blue surgeonfish.
Even though Finding Dory receives less positive reviews (and is not even nominated for an Oscar), the feature film generates a historic sum of money at the box office. In 2016, Finding Dory is simply the all-time best U.S. box office debut for an animated film and thus exceeds the billion dollars in revenue.
These hidden details not to be missed
As usual, this film by the Pixar universe is full of low-key and exciting Easter eggs. Here is a small compilation of eight best winks in Finding Dory.
1. The Pizza Planet Van



As in the vast majority of Pixar films, the Pizza Planet truck makes an appearance in Finding Dory. The most observant among you will have noticed it at the beginning of the film, among the many wrecks that nest on the bottom of the ocean.
2. Significant figures



On the boat that fishes out Dory, you can see two numbers that have a bit of a special meaning. Indeed, 1200 corresponds to the address of Pixar studios: 1200 Park Avenue Emeryville. The second number, 86, is a reference to the year of creation of Pixar studios: 1986.
3. Darla’s Presence



Do you remember the horrible little girl with the braces who killed the poor innocent fish in The world of Nemo ? well she’s back in Finding Dory. A photograph of her can indeed be seen around a wall.
4. Two Pixar shorts



In the same scene, the most knowledgeable spectators will have been able to recognize two references to two Pixar shorts. Indeed, posters of Piper (the short film broadcast before Finding Dory) and of lava (the short film broadcast before Vice versa) are hidden in the scenery of the scene.
5. Code A113



Like the Pizza Planet truck, this reference is also in practically all the Pixar films. Indeed, the two sea lions who discuss with Nemo and Marin are badged. Fleas on their tails that are a direct reference to the California Institute of Arts school class number: room A113, through which many employees of Pixar and Disney have passed.

6. An excellent reference to Vice versa



The heroine of Vice versareleased a year earlier Finding Dory, can be seen behind the glass of an aquarium.
7. Ladybug at the bottom of the water



Finding Dory also makes a reference to the film saga The ladybug. The most attentive will have actually noticed the presence of a Ladybird carcass at the bottom of the water, the same model as the heroine of this cult saga.
8. Cars 3



Productions Pixar have the good idea to teaser their next production. It is in this logic that the film makes a short reference to Cars 3, released the following year. Indeed, the driver of the van wears a bandage identical to that of Lightning McQueen, the four-wheeled hero of the saga.
