Within the scope of “Movie Acting Method for Children” developed by Nursen Çetin Köreken and on which he has been working on academic studies, child actors brought their characters to life in the movie without being given a script. The shooting of the documentary “Children on Stage”, which describes this method developed by Nursen Çetin Köreken, the education of child actors, the whole process from the preparation stages of the children to the film’s meeting with the audience, continued during the filming.
The story of the film is briefly as follows: Hilal, Ayşe and Mercan are three children working on the streets. Hilal and Ayşe are cardboard collectors and Mercan is a scrap collector. Sarı Selim, who established a racketeering gang in the city, kidnaps children working on the street, including Hilal, Ayşe and Mercan, and forcibly confiscates their money. Hilal is forced to give Sarı Selim the money she saved to buy medicine for her father.
The three friends decide to join the prize pigeon race that will be held that day with Mercan’s homing pigeon to fight against Selim’s bullying. Sarı Selim, who comes across them when they go to register for the pigeon race, takes the pigeon out of its cage and releases it to prevent Mercan’s pigeon from participating in the race. By the time the children caught the pigeon and arrived, the racing truck was long gone. Three Friends decide to catch the race truck with their own means and embark on a journey where they will get to know each other better, go through many difficulties, and become three close friends.
