Most recently, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“The Dark Knight Rises”) and Taylour Paige (“Zola”) were announced as new cast members for “Beverly Hills Cop 4”, not only did we point out that fresh blood is probably also necessary because old comrades-in-arms are not available. In the early films, Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) worked with local cops Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) on his trips to Beverly Hills. But their return seemed impossible.
Because Judge Reinhold has actually withdrawn completely from the public. The actor, who once became known for the teen comedy “I think I’m standing in the woods”, has not played any roles since 2017. And without Rosewood, Taggart seemed redundant too. But paparazzi pictures from the shooting, which we are unfortunately not allowed to show you here for legal reasons, now prove:
Reinhold and Ashton are on the set of “Beverly Hills Cop 4” and are apparently shooting with lead actor Eddie Murphy. The final film will show at the latest whether it will only be small cameos or whether they are both important parts of the plot. But fans should be happy that those responsible managed to persuade Reinhold to make a comeback.

In addition to the two police officers from Los Angeles, another returnee for “Beverly Hills Cop 4” has already been revealed. Paul Reiser is back. The actor starred in the first two parts as Jeffrey Friedman, a Detroit colleague and friend of Foley’s. He often had the difficult task of covering for the headstrong Foley’s solo escapades – and then usually ended up getting a lot of her boss’s anger for it.

Paul Reiser in “Beverly Hills Cop II” – does his character have to take the blame for Axel Foley in the fourth part?
As I said, filming is currently underway for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley”. Directed by Mark Molloy. For him it is the first feature film. So far he has made headlines as a director of advertising clips. Molloy has won numerous awards for his work, particularly for Apple. “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley‘ will come to Netflix sometime in 2023.
