The hearts of Fable fans have been somewhat abused this Sunday, October 18, 2021. A series of not very clever tweet has so to speak sown confusion.
If you were in front of Twitter this weekend, you might have seen two very encouraging tweets. In the sense that they hinted that Fable was going to come out of the woods to show itself a little more. The official Xbox Games Studios Publishing account tried to generate excitement.
We are happy to launch something very special tomorrow! (Just give us one more day to prepare the chickens).

We would have called it our Fable Anniversary, but the name was already taken.
It goes without saying that this series of tweets could suggest something new about the Playground Games Fable, announced a little over a year ago. This is exactly what happened. And as often on social networks, the measure has given way to an inordinate runaway, a hype that it was necessary to calm down.
Sorry for the confusion! We don’t have any big announcements or information for tomorrow on the Fable game in development at Playground.
Unfortunately, therefore, the communication was very clumsy, as nothing new about the current project will be revealed. That said, this does not prevent you from being entitled to other surprises. It seems that it is more about the original series, initiated by Lionhead.
Reissues on the way?
The three main episodes were released on September 14, 2004, October 21, 2008 and October 26, 2010, respectively. The period would be well chosen to celebrate these endearing action-RPGs. Note: it is the division in charge of partnerships with indies that is concerned. The one who, for example, signed the exclusivity of Tell Me Why.
Could it be that remasterings are coming our way? A compilation ? Compared to the tweets since deleted, we would lean more easily towards a Fable Anniversary 2 or a new refined version of Fable Anniversary, released in 2014 on Xbox 360. Who would be in charge? No hasty deductions, since the answer comes very quickly anyway.
What about the Playground Fable, planned for Xbox Series X | S and PC? We will still have to arm ourselves with patience. Sniff.
