The second season of White Lotus is getting more important. Mike White’s HBO black comedy cast F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Tom Hollander, and Haley Lu Richardson as series regulars for its second season. Previously announced cast members include Michael Imperioli and Aubrey Plaza in the second season, which will leave Hawaii behind and take place in a different White Lotus hotel property.
Some rumors say that the second season will take place in Italy, however, HBO has not made an official statement about it. With a huge career that includes Apple’s Mythic Quest, Showtime’s Homeland series, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Amadeus, Oscar winner Abraham will play Bert Di Grasso, an old man traveling with his son and grandson.
DiMarco will play Albie Di Grasso, a recent college graduate traveling with his father and grandfather. His productions include Netflix’s The Order and Syfy’s The Magicians. Known for The Sopranos, Imperioli plays Dominic Di Grasso, Albie’s father, and Bert’s son. Hollander is identified as Quentin, a British immigrant vacationing with his friends and nephew. The actor has appeared in The King’s Man, Pride & Prejudice, Gosford Park, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.
Richardson joins the cast as Portia, a young woman traveling with her boss. His performances include The Edge of Seventeen, Unpregnant, and Five Feet Apart. Aubrey Plaza, whose name was announced last week, stars as Harper Spiller, a woman who is on vacation with her husband and friends. Season two is said to feature the return of fan-favorite Jennifer Coolidge, although HBO declined to comment on her involvement.
