Blacklisted in Hollywood, Johnny Depp has just been hired by Maïwenn to play in his next feature film entitled La Favorite. According to our colleagues from Satellifacts, Johnny Depp will play King Louis XV in this historic film, the shooting of which should begin on July 8 in the Paris region, in particular at the Château de Versailles.
The feature film marks the return of the American actor to the cinema after the latter was fired from Fantastic Beasts following his lost lawsuit against The Sun. The tabloid accused him of being a “women hitter“after the statements of his ex-girlfriend, actress Amber Heard.
Last September, Johnny Depp gave a masterclass at the Deauville American Film Festival where he also came to present the thriller City of Lies, shot in 2017.
