Produced by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, “Evil Dead Rise” offers a chilling trailer. After an isolated chalet in the middle of the forest and the Middle Ages, the demons are now rampant in Los Angeles.
Evil Dead rise : the franchise continues
In 1981, Sam Raimi managed to launch a horror franchise that has become a cult with a ridiculous budget but above all a lot of energy and inventiveness. In Evil Dead, young Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his friends come to have a good time in an isolated chalet, located in the middle of the forest. Their stay turns into a nightmare when they awaken the forces of evil.
Sole survivor of the massacre, this somewhat stupid but deeply funny and endearing hero finds himself in trouble again in Evil Dead 2which adopts a much more comic tone, before going back in time in The Army of Darkness. Between 2015 and 2018, he is entitled to his own series with Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Moreover, Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe: The House of Darkness) took over the franchise brilliantly in 2013 with Evil Dead, an opus that goes back to basics and rediscovers the seriousness of the first film. This year, it’s the turn of Irish director Lee Cronin (The Only Child) to expand the saga with Evil Dead riseproduced by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, but in which the latter will apparently not make an appearance.
