France 2 broadcasts the new TV movie “Everyone lies” carried by Vincent Elbaz. Signed Olivier Norek, this well-crafted police comedy depicts a sensitive case of fraud and corruption.
Everybody lies : the sensitive business group
Series headliner E-syndromecurrently on the Salto platform, soon to be broadcast on TF1, Vincent Elbaz is also on France 2 in the role of Vincent Verner, a cop like no otherin Everybody lies. The synopsis of this fiction is as follows:
VincentVerner. A cop who is no longer a cop, fired by his superiors for his obsession with the truth. A character incapable of lying. Alice Mojodi, a prosecutor barely 30 years old “from diversity”. With Malory and de Grève, a computer hacker and son of a broken family, she created the Sensitive Affairs group. In other words, the business group of m…!

But they need one last asset, it will be Verner, fished out of a bookstore specializing in thrillers. Indeed, this sniper freed from the heaviness of the Penal Code will deploy all the investigative techniques that he knows better than anyone. Their target: powerful personalities, from the business world, from the star system and from the political world, usually untouchable. Their rule: like those they investigate, have none…
A great team!
In this telefilm we therefore find in the main role Vincent Elbaz, who slips into the skin of this ex-cop, fired after having gone to the end of an investigation that is a little too sensitive. He is supported by his colleague Alice Mojodia young prosecutor who heads Sensitive Affairs, played by Mariama Gueye (Funny). In their team, we also find Joséphine de Meaux (Caesar Wagner, our happy days) and Thomas Silberstein (Balthazar). One deals with computer hacking and the other knows all the codes of the upper middle class to be able to infiltrate it easily.

At their side, there is Jackie Berroyer who plays a former bank robber, but also Anne Girouard (Kaamelott), who plays Isabelle, Verner’s neighbor. Finally, in the role of the big boss specializing in the automotive industry, and who is obviously at the heart of this investigation, we find Nicolas Mariés (Goodbye idiots).
Soon a series?
Directed by Hélène Angel, fiction Everybody lies is also designed by Olivier Norek, a former police captain turned novelist and screenwriter. Together, they imagined a detective comedy. And contrary to what one might think, we are far from the series HPI which intrigued and made a good part of the viewers of TF1 laugh. The TV movie worn by Vincent Elbaz has its own identity and the many characters are highlighted and have an important place in the scenario.
We find themes that are dear to the novelist and a certain interesting political dimension. Like many fictions that first air as a pilot episode before become a series, Everybody lies could also evolve and develop other episodes. If successful, viewers may find all these different characters in a series format.
