In “Slayers” we meet a group of terribly vain and selfish Gen Z influencers (Abigail Breslin, Kara Hayward, Jack Donnelly). They are all invited by billionaire Beverly Rector (Malin Åkerman) on an exclusive luxury vacation in New Mexico, which is also said to beckon with a very lucrative sponsorship deal.
While their bus makes a stop en route through the desert, the social media princes and princesses encounter swashbuckling Elliot Jones (Thomas Jane) in his derelict RV. When he finds out where the motley crew is headed, he issues a cryptic warning, which the young people only smile wearily at.
What they don’t know is that their hostess is the wife of a powerful vampire who wants her blood. The situation for the helpless online superstars quickly looks desperate. Then suddenly Jones appears with a gigantic crossbow and turns out to be their last hope. After all, he has been hunting his daughter’s blood-sucking murderer for years, whom he believes he has finally found in Rector’s husband…
It is not yet known when “Slayers” will be released in Germany.
Slayers is directed and written by K. Asher Levin (Dig Or Die, Desperate Wives). Thomas Jane (Marvel’s 2004 Punisher film), who most recently starred in the hit sci-fi series The Expanse, plays the old-school vampire slayer in his freak.
Also included are: Malin Åkerman from “Billionsand Watchmen, Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Kara Hayward (Manchester By The Sea), Atlantis star Jack Donnelly and Lydia Hearst (American Boogeywoman) ).
