It was after their birth that Eva Mendes preferred to put her career on hold to spend time with them. The actress then did an inventory of the place of Latin American actresses in the Hollywood landscape. An observation that also pushed her to give up:
There are more opportunities for Latin actresses now, but when I bowed out 10 years ago, I was only offered things that were specifically Latin. It’s exciting that things are different now, so who knows what I’ll do in the future. But right now, I’m staying home with my kids.
The return of Eva Mendes to the front of the stage is clearly not on the agenda. Too bad, because the star surely still had a lot to show as an actress.
