The actors of Euphoria have many talents, sometimes unsuspected. This is the case of Javon Walton (Ashtray) who is a top athlete and who hopes to participate in the next Olympiad.
Season 2 of Euphoria, broadcast in US + 24 on OCS, digs a little more into the past of its characters, in particular the secondary protagonists, like Fez (Angus Cloud) and his incredible little brother Ashtray (Javon Walton), relatives de Rue (Zendaya), who appear a lot more in these new episodes.
In real life, Javon “Wanna” Walton is just as amazing since he is a top athlete! As reminded PopBuzz, the actor is a boxer and a gymnast, who could well go to the Olympiads. In any case, it is one of his great aspirations, which he mentioned in a 2018 video shared by WhistleSports, which recently went viral:
“My biggest goal is to go to the Olympiads and I want to be known for all the sports I play. So in the morning I’m going to do some boxing, I do some homework. After that, I do some T&T, i.e. trampoline and tumbling. And in the evening I do even more boxing or gymnastics.”
The 15-year-old therefore follows a daily training and does not relax his efforts to achieve his dreams. We understand better how and why Ashtray, her character in Euphoria, does some stunts to neutralize the opponents of her brother Fez.
Among his notable achievements, Javon Walton participated in the Junior Olympiads and starred in a commercial with Dwayne Johnson alias The Rock, at the age of 12. The young actor and athlete is in any case well surrounded since it is his father DJ Walton who trains him. Besides, his little brother Daelo, who plays the younger version of Ashtray in Euphoria, and his sister Jayla are also boxers.
The next Games taking place in Paris from July 26, 2024, Javon Walton can perhaps hope to participate as a gymnast, given that you must be at least 16 years old for this discipline. As far as boxing is concerned, you must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Olympiads. The young man born on July 23, 2006 will then be barely 18 years old. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to compete in these future Games.
