The scariest of orphans is coming back to our screens soon! Esther will be back on August 17 in a prequel to the horror film released in 2009. Called “Esther 2: Origins”, the feature film unveils a disturbing first extract. Check it out below.
Esther 2: the origins, she returns
Thirteen years ago, we discovered in the cinema a little girl not quite like the others. Indeed, in Esther by Jaume Collet-Serra, an orphan (played by Isabelle Fuhrman) turned out to be a bloodthirsty killer. And for good reason. While we thought she was young and innocent, we discovered at the end of the film that she was in fact an adult suffering from a form of dwarfism which gave her the appearance of a child.
Real name Lena Klammer, this dangerous psychopath had escaped from a psychiatric hospital in Estonia and found refuge in an orphanage in the United States. Adopted by a family, she was quick to show first signs of violence to his new siblings.
While we thought she was gone forever, she returns this summer in the film Esther 2: the origins. As its name suggests, it is not a sequel but a prequel in the 2009 film. Thus, we will discover the beginnings of Lena as she takes her first steps in the United States after fleeing from the Estonian psychiatric hospital. She will be taken in by a family who think they have found their granddaughter (Esther), who disappeared years ago. Obviously, this is a mistake, and the behavior of this newcomer will not take long to terrify those around you.
Have a good meal, of course
In a first excerpt, she terrorizes her new adoptive mother (played by Julia Stiles) by making him a very… special juice. See instead:
Directed by William Brent Bell (The Boy), the horror film is expected on August 17 in French cinemas. Who can’t wait to find Esther?
