Netflix triumphed at the 2021 Emmy Awards with the coronations of The Crown and The Lady’s Game; AppleTV + also pockets its first major award for comedy Ted Lasso, rewarded with four prizes!
The Netflix teams will certainly remember this evening of the 2021 Emmy Awards for a long time. Regularly rewarded in major American award ceremonies, the platform had never yet won a major award for one of its series. It is now done, with the coronation of The Crown in the Best Drama Series section.
The biopic devoted to the British royal family has also triumphed in all the categories where it was represented: Best actress and actress, Best supporting roles, Best director and Best screenplay! AppleTV + also enters the big leagues

Finally on the mini-series side, the two big favorites that were The Lady’s Game and Mare of Easttown The rewards were shared: Best mini-series for the first, and the interpretation prizes for the second. Ewan McGregor is also on the charts for his performance in Halston, a second coronation just a few years after his first Emmy came to greet his performance in the third season of Fargo!
