Will Emily finally find love in Paris? This is what the first images unveiled by Netflix suggest and it will probably be the central question of season 2 of Emily in Paris, expected before the end of the year.
Netflix has unveiled a first look at season 2 of Emily in Paris with a series of photos. Among those is this night shot with Emily (Lily collins) in front of the Eiffel Tower and in gallant company. This new suitor is named Alfie, played by Lucien Laviscount.
Alfie is presented as a boy as sarcastic as he is charming, who refuses to speak French or to immerse himself in French culture. Emily and he first have an antagonistic relationship that will evolve into something more romantic as shown in this nice shot from episode 5.
Here is the synopsis of this new season disclosed by Netflix: “Now more comfortable in her Parisian life, Emily is doing much better to find her way around the city, even if she still has trouble getting used to certain traditions typically After finding herself in a love triangle with her neighbor and her first real French friend, Emily is determined to refocus on her work – which gets more complicated every day. In French class, she meets an expatriate who l annoys her as much as he seduces her… “

As a reminder, at the end of season 1, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) was preparing to leave Paris to open his own restaurant in Normandy. Since his girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat) was not ready to leave her Parisian life, the couple had officially broken up, giving Gabriel and Emily the opportunity to express their feelings before her departure.
But the day after their date, Emily found out that Gabriel was staying in Paris and had bought the restaurant where he worked. The pleasant surprise was immediately spoiled by a message from Camille to Emily saying: “I just heard from Gabriel. He is staying in Paris. Can we talk ??”
Will this love triangle explode in midair? Or will Emily avoid the complexity of French love for a relationship that’s easier for her to manage?
