“Dying Can Wait” is due in French theaters on October 6th but has already hit UK theaters on Thursday October 30th. And it makes a thunderous start! Bodes well for the future.

Die Can Wait: The Last of Daniel Craig

After playing the character of James Bond for fifteen years, Daniel Craig hangs up the secret agent costume in To die can wait. Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the film is due in French theaters on October 6.

In this 25th film of the saga, James Bond has left the secret service and is having happy days in Jamaica. But his peace was short-lived. Because his old friend Felix Leiter of the CIA arrives to ask for his help. It’s about saving a scientist who has just been kidnapped. But the mission turns out to be far more dangerous than expected, and Bond finds himself on the heels of a mysterious enemy with formidable technological weapons.

Postponed several times because of the health crisis, To die can wait was eagerly awaited by all fans of the Bond saga. And his box office career project to be explosive, if we believe the first figures.

The film kicks off in the UK

If we have to wait a few more days, the film has already been released at UK this Thursday, October 30. In the homeland of James Bond, the feature film got off to a thunderous start. In fact, he raised nearly $ 7 million. It is more than Spectrum released in 2015 (but below Sky Fall).

30,000 spectators attended the previews on Wednesday midnight organized in the country. And morea million tickets have been reserved in advance. It is also more than Spectrum. And in line with the figures of Sky Fall.

At last, To die can wait beaten down the record for the number of rooms offering the film. Indeed, it is available in 722 cinemas nationwide. This is 25 more than Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released in 2019. What once again measures the extent of the Bond phenomenon!

The world box office record is held by Sky Fall with over a billion dollars.
