Wanda has gone through a dramatic evolution since ‘WandaVision’ aired on Disney+ and now she’s back very angry in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. His interpreter, Elizabeth Olsen, reveals which scene was the most difficult to shoot.
A pissed off Wanda in Doctor Strange 2
The passage of the MCU on the small screen has allowed secondary figures of the universe to take on another dimension. This is particularly the case of Wanda who was able to take advantage of a very interesting development with Wanda Vision. We had left her when she had turned into Scarlet Witch and wanted to find her children. Everything led us to believe that she had sunk into the dark side and that we were going to find her later with not necessarily laudable intentions.
This is indeed what we see in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The feature film directed by Sam Raimi has just landed in theaters and is already experiencing a monster success (450 million dollars collected in a few days). What we feared happened: Wanda became an antagonist. As his powers grow stronger and stronger, Doctor Strange and his allies must stop it.
Elizabeth Olsen recounts a special filming moment
While promoting the film, actress Elizabeth Olsen spoke to Variety. She reveals which scene was the hardest to shoot. Playing someone bad isn’t always easy, especially when you have to interact with younger actors. As is the case during a scene that we will not describe avoiding spoiling those who have not yet gone to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness :
There’s a point where I have to pick on the people I love, it was a tough scene. One of these characters – a small character – was throwing things at me and it accidentally hit me really hard in the face. And that was the best thing. I felt so bad that I used it in my game.
What also greatly interests us in the interview is the question about the potential return of Wanda to the MCU. We know that Marvel likes to plan the development of the universe very far in advance and it may return to cinema or television. However, for now, the actress claims she knows nothing while specifying that she hopes to be able to reprise her role. Indeed, we do not see a particular project to come in which it would have its place. On the other hand, we also know that the studio likes to surprise us and asks its actors not to say anything…
