After the Spider-Man: No Way Home madness, many rumors have emerged regarding the following Marvel movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which fans imagined filled with cameos. Among the names that came up often: were Tom Cruise as Iron Man or Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
But in the end, neither of these two actors appears in the new adventure of the hero played by Benedict Cumberbatch. This, however, does not mean that this has not been considered! Indeed, the screenwriter of the feature film, Michael Waldron, told ComicBook.com that there had actually been discussions regarding the Mercenary Desert:
Yes, we talked about it. I think we talked about everyone for this movie. So it would have been crazy not to raise this issue, but in the end it wasn’t… It just wasn’t the right place. But yes, of course we talked about it.
So if Deadpool doesn’t appear in Doctor Strange 2, this does not mean, however, that he will not meet the Avengers in the future.
