–Cinema journalist

Cradled from an early age by New Hollywood cinema, Vincent Formica very early discovered the works of Martin Scorsese, Coppola, De Palma and Steven Spielberg. Thanks to these cinema godfathers, he will learn to deeply love the 7th art, forging an eclectic cinephilia.

Like Scarlett Johansson, who recently filed a lawsuit against Disney, Emma Stone and Emily Blunt are said to be considering the idea of also suing the firm for breach of contract.

Emma Stone and Emily Blunt to join Scarlett Johansson fight? Recently, we learned that the actress was filing a complaint against Disney for breach of contract. The big-eared firm released Black Widow theatrically AND on Disney +, which was contrary to the agreements made between the company and the actress.

In fact, in the United States, part of the money comedians make is often calculated based on their film’s box office results. By offering Cruella and Jungle Cruise on their platform, Disney has therefore potentially made its actresses lose a lot of money, betraying the terms of the contracts signed with them.

According to Matt Belloni, former editor of The Hollywood Reporter, Stone and Blunt are in the process of evaluating the various legal options available to them. The journalist, who spoke in his newsletter “What i’m hearing” also said that Disney had a reputation for being “notoriously difficult to manage.”

According to Belloni, many people have already wanted to speak out against some of the practices of Mickey’s company. Scarlett Johansson was the first person to have the courage to do so. Other artists could follow suit, Emily Blunt and Emma Stone in the lead.

For the moment, the two actresses have not formalized their positions. As a reminder, Cruella grossed $ 221 million at the global box office. As for Jungle Cruise, it had a good first weekend with 34 million greenbacks collected.

Matt Belloni also brings up the case of Dwayne Johnson, who co-stars with Emily Blunt in Jungle Cruise. The actor is said to have no plans to sue Disney because of his good relationship with producer Hiram Garcia (Jumanji, Black Adam, Jungle Cruise). The legal soap opera concerning the Disney house therefore follows its course.
